Peanut Butter & Pizza

I just got in from my run, which I found a little harder than last time but I think that may have been because I had to run up a hill.  It’s not a massive hill but it is a hill nonetheless…my poor legs are not used to anything but flat and even surfaces.  I did manage it but that particular interval was a little tough.  In the end, I did 2.2 miles in 29.35 (minutes not hours) 🙂  It is a slight improvement on my last run but hey, I will take what I can get!

When I got back in, all I could think of was Peanut Butter…is that normal?  I had to eat some straight from the jar.  Is this my body craving what it needs to replenish?

Peanut Butter in all its nutty & buttery glory!

Then, I had Pizza for dinner…you don’t get hips like this from eating lettuce you know!  I have to add that I don’t actually eat Pizza very often but it was free, as it was bought by my brother-in-law and well…it would have been rude not to!

I have now noticed that my left calf feels a little tight since I cooled down.  I am not sure why…maybe it was that damn hill.  I did stretch at the end of my run so I don’t know but I will keep an eye on it.  I think it’s just as well I am not running until Sunday.

Since I started running, I have developed a new-found interest in the 2012 Olympics and today was the grand unveiling of the Great Britain 2012 Olympic kit. It was designed by Stella McCartney .  Here it is…

Team GB

While I think the new kit is nice, I do think there should be red in the Union Jack…but on the whole I like it.  Stella on the other hand appears to have arrived at the photo shoot in her pajama’s 🙂

There is only 3 days to go until The Sport Relief Mile…I am looking forward to it so much.  I am just going to go out there and run it the way I would any normal run…I am not trying to prove anything here, I just have to cross the line.

I doubt I will be looking as chipper as happy silhouette lady when I cross the finish line...

I don’t normally end my posts with a question but just for a change today I am going to.

Runners: Do you crave certain foods when you get in from a run?

Jules 🙂
