I went out today for what should have been my second 3 min run/3 min walk x 4 this week…I have to say that it was rubbish! There were a couple of times where I can say I was starting to get into my stride and it all felt like it was working but today my problem was focus… so today when my shoelace came undone and I had to stop to tie it, it bothered me. When the kid on his way home from school moved out my way but then moved back into it (on purpose), it bothered me. Then when my phone app started to behave like an arse and kept losing the GPS, it really bothered me!! So, today I am a quitter…but only for today. I came home after 3 reps of 3/3 (19 mins). Oh well tomorrow’s another day, right?
Vegetarians Look Away Now
When Steve and I got home we were both starving so I made bacon, scrambled eggs and tomatoes with toast and a little sprinkling of cheese – just what the Doctor ordered! Now I feel much better.
The picture makes it look like a heart attack on a plate 🙂 But I promise you it was yummy…
Today was also the first time I ran in my new shoes…They are awesome and I love them 🙂 They are comfortable and light and are a world apart from the battered Reebok Classics that I live in. I have quite wide toes and now they are not squished, yay!
MK Half Marathon & Festival of Running
This weekend sees The Milton Keynes Half Marathon and Festival of Running.
Along with the half there will be a 5k and 10k race. Many members of the DLRR will be running there on Sunday. Good luck guys! Also a quick mention to fellow Blogger Chips who is also running the MK Half…Good luck chips! As always, best of luck to anyone who is running an event this weekend…Go get ’em!!
Sport Relief Update
The Sport Relief Mile is only 23 days away. Despite the crappy run today, I am confident that I will be OK..If I am honest, I am just excited to be taking part in my first event. I have had a great week fundraising and am now only £2 away from reaching my target..this pleases me immensely!! Thank you so much to everyone who has sponsored me!
You make it worth it 🙂
